LNA ‘Music Tee’ Launch at Ron Herman
Since the birth of the brand 20 years ago, Oliver Peoples has enjoyed cultivating a solid relationship with the legendary lifestyle clothier and Hollywood shopping hotspot: Ron Herman, on Melrose. On Saturday, June 13 2009, Creative Director and Co-Founder Larry Leight, was proud to be present at the iconic Los Angeles boutique to support the release of The Music Tee, developed and produced by LNA Clothing, in collaboration with Invisible DJ.
Founded in the summer of 2007 by California natives Lauren Alexander and April Leight, LNA was created from the simple idea of designing the perfect men’s t-shirt for women. The company began as a basic T-shirt line that focused on fit and color, blended with the perfect cotton. The first collection launched at Barneys New York, Madison, and Henri Bendel. After receiving press in such magazines as Vogue and Nylon, along with a celebrity fan base that included Nicole Richie and Mischa Barton, Alexander and Leight decided it was time to expand the line. The collection now includes everything from Lace Tee’s to their signature Zipper Legging, while Alexander and Leight continue striving toward their initial goal of designing wardrobe staples with a twist.
The advent of digital music – though convenient and easily portable – has meant the virtual annihilation of purchasing music that includes a physical case and carefully crafted artwork. The Music Tee is an ingenious effort to revive album art, while also being wearable! The comfortable cotton t-shirt sports a chic graphic on the front, a track listing or the back and a bar code on the tag that allows the buyer access to download the corresponding album. The selections in the Invisible DJ version highlight eclectic musicians from around the world. Available the first week of July, the second installment of The Music Tee will feature renowned hip-hop artist and actor, Mos Def.
The ‘Invisible DJ’ Music Tee retails at $60 and can be purchased exclusively at Ron Herman or from the LNA website.
