Sir Paul Smith at Barneys on Madison Avenue in NYC!
On October 19th, Sir Paul Smith made a personal appearance at Barneys on Madison Avenue in NYC.
The Barneys location on Madison Avenue boasts an in-store Paul Smith boutique, which Sir Smith created an exclusive Ready-To-Wear collection for men. The renowned British designer participated in a Question and Answer Session with Simon Doonan, the Creative Director of Barneys to discuss the venture. The reception was fantastic and Sir Smith was in great spirits, inspiring the audience and livening up the Men’s 3rd Floor with his trademark wit and intelligence. Intricate in-store and front-window displays were created to reflect elements of the Paul Smith brand for the occasion. Paul’s new book was also available for purchase and he signed autographs for fans.
Having developed a relationship with Sir Smith as the licensee for Paul Smith Spectacles, Oliver Peoples’ Design Director, Lise Haxton, was present to participate and introduce the designer to some members of our team. It was a pleasure to spend time with him and we are happy to share images for those who were unable to attend!
