OLIVER PEOPLES EYEWEAR OPENS IN-STORE SHOP IN BERGDORF GOODMAN

New York, New York – On September 13th, 2007 Oliver Peoples Eyewear will open an in-store boutique in renowned department store, Bergdorf Goodman. Known throughout the world for its elegance, luxury, and superior service, Bergdorf Goodman has, for over 100 years, carried the collections of the most exclusive and influential fashion houses. Along side the in-store boutiques of CHANEL, Gucci, Giorgio Armani, and Yves Saint Lauren, Oliver Peoples perfectly compliments the main floor’s fleet of premiere designers. Although Bergdorf has supported the Oliver Peoples Sun Collection for the past 20 years, the opening of the shop will take their partnership to a new level. The new space will enable them to carry the collection in its entirety including the optical and sun designs. Customers may take advantage of the on site optician who will be providing consultations, custom frame fittings, and even prescription services.

Founder and Creative Director of Oliver Peoples, Larry Leight is proud to join forces with the elite department store. “We consider Bergdorf Goodman to be one of, if not the, most prestigious Department Stores and from that point of view we are extremely proud to have a shop there. By having the ability to now fully merchandise the entire collection, including both our optical and sun lines, we will be able to rationalize our stature as one of the most credible eyewear brands in the world on one of the great retail stages.” Larry Leight will be making a personal appearance at the in-store shop on December 6th, 2007. He will be showcasing the Limited Edition 20 Year Anniversary Diamond Harlot, as well as providing private complimentary personal fittings.
