OLIVER PEOPLES EYEWEAR OPENS MALIBU, CA RETAIL STORE

Malibu, CA – On September 20th, 2007, Oliver Peoples Eyewear will open their 8th retail location at the Country Mart in prestigious Malibu, CA. Known for the beautiful beachfront properties and influential entertainment industry residents, Malibu has long been a destination spot for jetsetters and locals alike.

CEO of Oliver Peoples, David Schulte, is thrilled about the new location. “Malibu, because of its proximity to both Hollywood and the beach, attracts a very exciting and eclectic group of people that we have always felt were a perfect fit for our brand. Our first store was on Sunset Boulevard and the LA culture has always been an important element of our DNA.When the right space finally came available, we didn’t hesitate to grab it, and we were particularly excited that the location was a free standing building. We reached out to Roman Alonso at Commune to design something appropriate to both our brand and the location; the result of this collaboration is amazing and we couldn’t be happier with what he’s done”.

Commune is responsible for such store designs of Kiki de Montparnese in New York City and the well known high end sneaker boutique, Undefeated. The new store will carry the three brands that fall under Oliver Peoples Inc., including Oliver Peoples Eyewear, Paul Smith Spectacles, and Mosley Tribes. Customers may take advantage of the on site optician who will be providing consultations, custom frame fittings, and prescription services. Oliver Peoples will hold a Grand Opening celebration at the new store on September 20th, 2007. There will a presentation of the Limited Edition Diamond Harlot style, designed for the company’s 20th Year Anniversary, to a special guest host, TBA.
