Oliver Peoples has established a reputation for producing spirited short films to coincide with the current campaign and bring life to the collection. We celebrated our 20-Year Anniversary in 2008 by collaborating with Hollywood icon Robert Evans (legendary producer of The Godfather) to produce our first branded short, ‘Mind Games’. Presented as a movie trailer, the featurette was debuted on big screens in select New York City and Los Angeles theaters. In 2009 we collaborated with photographer/director Autumn de Wilde to produce a 60's era spy/chase short titled ‘Catch a Tuesday’, featuring Zooey Deschanel and Matt Costa. The most recent (2010) is called “Les enfants sennuient le dimanche” (The children are bored on Sundays). Stars of the wildly popular Mad Men-esque short are Shirley Manson of Garbage and Elijah Wood, again directed by Autumn de Wilde. The video accompanying the 2011 campaign will feature indie musician and artist Devendra Banhart and is scheduled for release February 2011.
